A Long Week and a Scattered Brain.

Hello lovelies!

It's been a very long week. I'm kind of glad it's over. However I gained a few new followers this week, and that I am extremely excited about! Hello all my new friends!

But on the other side, my best friend moved in this weekend after she turned 18 Thursday. It's off to a shaky start. I won't include details, but I'm not sure how this sharing my space is gonna go. If all else fails though we only have 7 months till the wedding!

In one of the giveaways I won last week, I won an ad space from one the blogs I follow! Just this week though she launched a new blog and store, and between all the craziness she switched the ad space out for a $10 shop credit to her store! That was fine by me!
Check out her brand new blog, Busy Being Jennifer
Or her new shop HomeSpun Happiness
I'm getting the Neon Cupcakes Zippy Pouch!

I have been on a MAJOR Say Yes to the Dress kick this week since we got Netflix again! I don't know why, I just love that show. Another good series I came across was The Colony! It's such a crazy show, I don't even think I could explain it properly! If you have Netflix go check it out and leave me a comment with your thoughts, or e-mail me!

Another awesome thing I have going on is the 'Share Your Style' Swap party I joined in on. It's hosted by Vintage Wanna Bee & Agape Love Design!
I got partnered with the coolest chick! Her name's Lauren and we are so a like it's crazy, and come next May 16th we'll both have the same wedding anniversaries! I couldn't believe some of the stuff we have in common! Please go check her blog/shop The Knotty Boutique Company  it's the bomb!!

If you made it through all of my jumbled venting then congrats! You deserve a cupcake! I haven't barely been able to sort through all my thoughts this week, between the stressful ones, and the good ones!

Leah!

Some More Wedding Planning

Well guys Wedding Wire says I have 119 things left before the wedding. I honestly feel like it's a bajillion more. A bajillion.
We have 7 months and 14 days. I could not be more excited or overwhelmed in my life.
Currently whats been on my mind, besides these fabulous new shoes I bought for the wedding (!!!!) :
They are so sparkly, so obnoxious, and so beyond perfect! I love them with all my heart. And the best part was I didn't spend a dime! I got an Amazon gift card from my Aunt Jackie that paid for these bad boys. You can find them here at Amazon!

But back to the first thing, what's been on my mind is the Bachelorette party!! Sure, I've got a while, but a party's a party! I've started brain storming with my MOH about what I'd like to do and places I'd like to go, and I think we've found a place...
It's not a big city, but I think it'll be perfect. It's Nashville, Indiana. It's a super cute shopping town. They have endless small shops, and good food. So I think we're gonna get up there early, shop till we drop, get ready and go get something to eat somewhere fancy, and then go to the hotel for swimming and chick flicks! It sounds like so much fun, and so perfect!
I'm having a bit of trouble with the outfit though, I have a couple of dresses I LOVE. You check 'em out and let me know what you think!

Billy Sequined Cocktail Dress, Black/Gold

or...

Farrah Sequin Cocktail Dress, White/Gold

If you couldn't tell, I love gold glitter!! It's so pretty!!

So, that's about it for this Wedding post, but if you missed last weeks, just click here!
On that post I show you guys my wedding dress! And my MOH coral lace dress.
My wedding is Coral & Mint, and romantic, vintage, sentimental, personal loveliness.
Check out my Wedding Bells board on Pinterest for what I'm going for!
Have a very lovely week friends!

P.S. I'll be back tomorrow, with very honest post!

Different.

Lovelies, I've changed up my blog again. But this time I think I'm finally content. It all matches, it's not over done, and I love the colors. And if you look, everything's over there on the right now so it looks a lot less cluttered. I've been working on it all week, so it's nice that it finally paid off. Also I figured out with some wonderful help from the Google, how to get those pesky little side bar buttons to work. Between finding the right ones, and downloading, and getting all the links in proper working order, it took me a whole night. Y'all should use them so my hard work doesn't go to waste. (; I have one for Pinterest, Bloglovin, to email me, and Instagram.
Although I will let you know I haven't really posted anything on Instagram lately as I do not have a phone that will down load it. Lame-o.
I'll eventually get that IPhone 4s. Eventually...

I did want to let you guys know, that I'm changing this whole blog up, not just the design. I think I'm gonna stop doing all these crazy link-ups. I definitely enjoy them, but I'm gonna try this whole being myself thing. I don't wanna sound stuck-up when I say this, but I wanna grow this blog, I wanna be a big blogger. Be able to host giveaways. Maybe make a little money from Sponsors. I love blogging. I love my blog. I wanna show other people, and maybe they'll love it too. I also wanna make new friends. Cause friends are the best. (:

My biggest problem at the moment though, is I do not have a nice camera, or really anywhere to do pictures.  But I'm gonna work on that too.

Y'all got any advice? Any nice comments? (: I would love both!
Oh, and if you guys wanna swap buttons with me shoot me an e-mail!! It just takes one click of that envelope side bar button I put up!
I just swapped with an awesome girl named Mindy from Best. Day. Ever.
She's super nice, and I love her blog! Go check it out!

Alright, I think it's time I go to bed!
Much love!

Winning and other my Saturday things.

Look at all the lovely things I won from Dondalees!!

Do you know how many giveaways I've entered since December? I've lost count, but it's been a bunch. I finally won though! So excited! And can't wait to get it in. (:
The Mustache Chap stick is from The Original Soap Stand. A wonderful shop on Etsy, with all homemade and organic items!
The Bunny ring is from Dondi herself. But sadly you won't be able to find it in the shop, as it's one of a kind. However this does not mean you should pass up taking a peek at her shop. Everything is adorable, and you need to look. Like right now... (: Just click here!
Then we have darling little necklace from Lolita Rose Jewelry
You can get one for yourself, for a totally reasonable price, or another one of her lovely pieces of jewelry!
And last, but not least we have the bag from Whimsy Lane. This link is actually to her blog, which is just as cute!!
So this totally made my day!
And I got this e-mail right as soon as I got off work, from my first ever 8 hour shift. Which thank the Lord, went by faster than I thought it would. It was super busy though, which is probably why. Made pretty good tips. So all around not a bad day at work! Work tomorrow from 12-6 too.
But earlier today we received a eviction notice... as our house was foreclosed, which is kind of personal information, but honestly it had a lot to do with with my step-dad... But any who, we weren't expecting to have to be out till like May something. Well we have 10 days. From yesterday.
In 9 short days we must have everything packed and out. Big stuff.
Also not really sure of our gameplan as to where we're moving to. We do have rental property that we were just gonna move in to, but seeing as the so soon notice arrived we hadn't given our renters their proper 30 day notice. Which we were actually gonna be nice and give them 2 months, but surprise! They're not happy, we're... stressed. Ya know.
But God's got it. And we know that. Worse comes to worst we'll pack our stuff in Pod like trailers a guy from church offered for our use, mom will take the kids to stay with a friend for a mini vacation in Mississippi, and I'll stay with Matt for the 20 days till our renters can get out. No vacation for me ): Stupid school...and work... But nah, I'd rather not have my whole schedule messed up, plus not see Matt. That'd be a bummer.
Today though hasn't been horrible, a little stressing news, but we'll make it!
Tonight at dinner, Jonah, my youngest sibling, said this prayer- "God, please let us be healthy, let us not waste power. And not let our family die. The end."
Talk about cute!! Good grief.
This is Jo-jo man. (:
Alright, well I'm gonna hop off, talk to my love a little bit. Hope everyone had a great day today!

Two is Better than One.

He's my other half.
That's the weirdest thing about love, you think you're completely fine until you meet that one person, and then you realize that if they were taken from you, you wouldn't be whole.

"He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."
Emily Bronte

If you're reading this you may want to jump over here, and read my back story... If you already read that, then sorry I interrupted you.
A friend of mine, the one in the picture from my post yesterday, Laney, came down with a bag of my favorite candy and a mix cd. She lives right up the street from me, and is one of the most hilarious friends I've ever had. But we had gotten in a disagreement over something, the summer before, so we hadn't been talking. But when she brought the lovely, thoughtful, little gifts down we reconnected. She invited me to go to a youth group outing with her church, to our local bowling alley. I love bowling so I couldn't say no!
So one day last January I went and hung out with her youth group, and met this guy named Matt. He was Laney's older brother Jared's best friend. {All I knew at that point.} It wasn't a love at first sight thing, I don't think we really talked. He was shy, and I was busy talking to the people that I already knew. So that was that.
Now last year, I was in a play. And there was a guy who I had previously dated, that I {for some reason} wanted to date again. He was a jerk, and not really what I needed or wanted but you know... We all have done it. Anyway he kept leading me on, and leading me on, until he just stops. He starts completely ignoring me. I obviously moved on, and I realized he didn't matter pretty fast. And the whole time I'd been hanging out pretty steadily with Laney, Jared, and Matt. It was nice cause Matt had a car, so he drove us everywhere.
I didn't know this then but Matt was actually going behind my back and asking Laney about me, about if I had a boyfriend. Which this was early enough in the summer that I was still head over heels for whats his face. So Laney told him I was kinda seeing someone, and he says he got discouraged a bit, but knew he'd treat me better so he kept pursuing.
One day I got a Facebook message from him {Still have it, is that sad?} that said, Hey, text me if you want. :)  and his number. I knew he was flirting, but figured I'd text him just cause we were friends. So we texted every now and then. But I went on a mission trip last summer, and they really didn't like our phones on. That was one whole week no talking. And the he went to North Carolina to visit his friend. Well he was working 12 hour days, and then was really busy after work so those couple weeks went by and we barely talked. But the last week of July, and first week of August my mom went to the Thirty-One conference, and a MOPS conference. Leaving me home with 3 children and no car. Yayyyy. Well Laney, who ever her boyfriend was at the time, Jared, and Matt all came over like everyday. We'd all just sit in my living room and talk. Me and Matt would talk more, he was so funny. Is... so funny... And I was so comfortable around him. One of the last nights my mom was gone, Laney and Jared both walked home, and me and Matt sat and talked. Mainly about his family, why he doesn't have a father. My family, why I didn't have a father. I just trusted him, and I could tell that he didn't judge me for it. He was so great. So now he was a really great friend, that I had a kind of big crush on. And the only reason I held back, was because I was kinda afraid that if we ever split, then our little friendship circle would be ruined. Worth the risk. SO worth the risk.
The Gang! From left, Matt, me, Laney, and Jared.
He kept trying to reel me in, took me to the fair, which is my FAVORITE place in the entire world. And bought me roasted corn, from this local farmer, that has this giganto corn roaster, that produces the most wonderful, buttery, salty, tasting corn on the cob in the universe. No lie guys. A little later in August he even asked me to go to the mall with him to get Laney a birthday present, cause he needed help. Later he confessed to wanting to go out, with only me, and he didn't really need help. He was sneaky.
Probably within the second week of the month he asked if I wanted to be his girlfriend, which I, kind of meanly, said no. Because I though he should take me out on a proper date before it was made official. And I wanted a real date. Cause not that dinner and movies are bad... but not my ideal first date material. Dinner's awkward, can't talk during the movie. No fun.
On August 19th, after hanging out all day he finally had to leave so I was walking him out to his car, and we stood in the street kinda dancing. and he pulled me in and kissed me. And oh my butterflies. And blushing. And standing in the driveway till the blood came out of my cheeks so I could casually walk past my mom, who was sitting on the front porch, {behind a bush, so she didn't see the kiss. Not that it would have mattered, but I'm not to big in the PDA.}
The very next day was Laney's surprise party, and afterwards, at 11:51 pm, we decided to go ahead and make it official. Which was horrible timing cause with it being almost the next day we couldn't decided if our anniversary date would be the 20th or 21st. Finally decided the 20th. After 4 months.
We've literally been inseparable since that last week of July. I could bore you for days with a bunch of great memories. I think I'll save how he told me he loved me for a different post. It was cute.
On Black Friday though, Matt went out and got my engagement ring, which was supposed to be my Christmas present, but he got so excited he proposed on Monday, November 28th.
It was a Monday, which is co-op Monday, and I had been up so late the night before and awake by 8 I was falling asleep sitting up. I had gone down to his house to hang out, but as I was so tired he drove me home. And after he got me up out of his car, {I didn't wanna move} he dragged me to the end of the driveway, where a little over 3 months before he had first kissed me and asked me how much I loved him. Note: I was so tired, NONE of this was registering. No red flag, nothing. I replied to him, with 'More than anything. Why?' And he pulled out the ring.
Right after! Not so tired afterwards, haha.
Better view!
And there you have it. Our love story.
Oh, the title is the name of our song. You should go check it out on youtube.
Have a lovely day friends. Sorry for the super duper long post AGAIN today!

Diving a Little Deeper.

I'm warning you now, this isn't gonna be a light, 5 second post. This is deep...
Everyone has their own unique life story, and I think I've finally come to a point where I can share it with you guys, even though there's not that many of you... I'm getting there!

I'll start with the very beginning. My mom got raped, and then got pregnant with me. By one of my moms friends in high school. She had stayed out to late, and my grandparents locked her out of the house,so she drove back to stay at her friends house. Well he basically trapped her there for like 3 days. Letting her go to work, but making sure he was there as soon as she got off. On the 3rd night or so she waited for him to fall asleep and took her keys, but she already knew she was pregnant.
A lot of her friends weren't aloud to hang out with her anymore, some just chose not to. Cause back in 1994 it wasn't as acceptable for 17 year olds to just be pregnant. {I don't believe it is now, but teenage pregnancy is a growing thing. My mom now works with a Teen MOPS group}
Well it was just me and my mom, and random boyfriends. A extremely short marriage, after he yanked my arm a little too hard. I wasn't seriously hurt at all, but she saw it wasn't a good relationship. And then she connected with this guy she'd gone to school with. I was 4 almost 5. And we moved in with him and his mom. They were in love, and all this, but I had this bad feeling. I never mentioned it to anyone though, I mean I was 5, it was just an odd feeling.
Well one day, he was driving me down to my grandparents after school, where my mom already was, and he asked me if he could marry my mom. I told him I gave him my permission, although I really wanted to say no, he made my mom happy and that's what I wanted. (Angel child, *cough, cough*) So on Feb 14th, 2003 he proposed to my mom. Who announced that she was pregnant. They got married on May 31st that year. And my wonderful little brother Jon was born on October 11th.
Everything was going fine and stuff but every now and then, my step-dad would hit me. Sometimes it would leave a bruise, other times it didn't But it hurt more emotionally, especially cause my mom wouldn't yell at him to stop. (Which disclaimer, my mom did. It was just after I went to bed, she told me recently I didn't even hear half the fights they had.) But I didn't know that, it just felt like I had someone hitting me, when I barely did anything. Yes, I was a kid, I was annoying and broke rules. That at times may deserve punishment, but never abuse. And I knew that even then.
And there was one time I had a bruise on my arm, and I nonchalantly showed my grandma, who asked what it was from, and I couldn't lie to her. Well this got her mad, and she told him he better never hit me again. And he didn't for a while.
And I don't remember every time I was ever hit. I'm not sure I really want too. But there was one time maybe 4 years ago in May... that my mom had gone to a convention for Thirty-One, and I was home with my step-dad and my 3 younger siblings. And he was so lazy, so I was watching them, and cleaning. and then I did something, I don't even remember what, and he came stomping down the hall. I picked up Jo-jo, cause for one I didn't want him to hurt Jonah, and two, cause I thought if I was holding a younger child maybe he wouldn't hit me. but he just slammed me on the back. Like hard enough to pop it, but it hurt. I was sore for 3-4 days.
That summer though I also went to a a mission trip with my youth group. It was the first week of July in 2008.  And while we were there, my youth pastors wife Jenny Clayton shared her testimony, and our testimonies weren't the same but in so many way I could feel my own life connecting to hers. And she was the sweetest woman I have ever met. So her and her husband Todd, prayed with me one of the nights and I was saved. I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't accepted God into my heart and life.
Although after that stuff still didn't get easier. I still had to go back home. 2009 came to a stressful end. I had decided I was gonna run away. Looking back I know I was dramatic, but I wouldn't have changed it. I was all set I had a set of clothes, and money to get a hotel. I had just had enough. So I almost did I was walking down the stairs of a friends house, to sneak out the back door, when my mom showed up. I was all mad, and would barely talk to her and she grounded me. So when I got home they sat me down and said I needed to talk, I told them no. So they said they had looked up some counselors, and if I wasn't gonna talk to them then I could go see one. And because I was a brat, (I'll own up to that) I told them it would be a waste of money because I wouldn't talk to the counselor either. Right after I had said that though, my step-dad leaped up out of his chair and came running across the room and tackled me backwards in the dining room chair knocking me into the front of a china cabinet. (Nothing broke.)
I was so mad, I got up and went into punch him, but mom stopped me and told me to get in the car. We took a drive, where she took me by the house I was conceived in. Told me the story I first shared with you at the very top. And we went and sat in a Krogers parking lot and talked everything out. So for the next year, I didn't really worry about being hit. I was better at not doing some of the stuff that would trigger him.
But December 2010 was equally as stressful as the one prior, after my mom walked into him sitting on the computer, where he quickly closed something out. Now my mom kinda figured that he looked at stuff on the internet, they'd been together for 11 years, but right then it hit her and completely set her off. She didn't talk to him for 3 weeks. Before Christmas guys...
(Just to remind you, this was year and 3 months ago.
So at the end of the month, I'd say the 29th... mom was doing something in her room when she came across a tape. That had been filmed in our bathroom... And it was of me. I like was in shock, but not really. That feeling... it finally, completely made sense.
My mom was in hysterics though, I knew she felt so bad. All she could do was apologize. I knew it wasn't her fault though. So she called him at work, and told him she'd found something. And not to come home. WE had my Uncle Josh, and Tappaw come change the door locks. She didn't call the cops for another day though. She took the time to pray about it. For this whole year we've been fully supported on my mom, whose been so strong. I couldn't have asked for a better woman in my life. And I know it's been hard on her. I mean 4 children, bills, food, working side jobs, Teen MOPS, and she's put in a lot of hard work losing a buncha of weight which I'm very proud of her for.
I'm also not sorry, that any of this happened to me. God wrote my life story special. I can handle anything. And I know that I can help others that have been affected by similar life circumstances.
So, I hope you enjoyed seeing a little into my heart today.
Its a little crazy. (:

I'm lazy.

The secrets out.
I am LAZY.
I get told this very often, by my mother and Matthew. And I can't blame 'em. I am.
I mean occasionally I'll get this burst of will power and get everything done. House clean, quick workout, schoolwork. But it doesn't last. Which is probably why I have a major to-do list as mentioned in the last post...
This job thing though... I can't be lazy at work. I've actually been doing really good. I do enjoy being busy. If the busy things are fun. And for now work is fun. Plus this is my first job, so I wanna do good. And like everything, I always have to be sure that whatever work I do, (besides at home) is my best. I wanna be proud of it. Not like proud in the haha I'm better than you way. But the, yes I know I did my very best.
There's always room for improvement, but you never can find your mistakes until you start and take a look back.
At home though... I need to start applying that. Big time.
'Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.'
Romans 12:11
Good verse. I think I'm gonna post-it-note this everywhere.
Anyone else feeling me?
Alright on the end note, I think I'm gonna take some scrap booking things outside for a British Literature project, get a little spring tanning in. It's like 80 degrees... and I'm gonna link up over at Vintage Wanna Bee. For my inspirational post about not being lazy. (:

To do list...

I feel like my to-do list is 10 miles long.
I have work 6 days this week.
My house is a mess. It's so stressful.
I wanna begin wedding planning.
Blogging.
Schoolwork. 7 weeks left!
Paying for prom...
Prom
Graduating
Matt graduating
We're moving
Saving money.
Finding a place for me and Matt to move to after the wedding. Except that was put on the top of our list this week, after his mom announced she was pregnant! Surprise! Oh...and she's married. Surprise! So now Matt really needs to have a place to move into around Spring break. And I do not want him living in an apartment because that's a lot of money going out every month. We were seriously considering fixing up the add on to their garage. It's an apartment, but his Mamaw didn't think it was a good idea to really fix it up because without a permit its illegal for us to live in it. So now I don't know.

Feeling convicted lately. I wish we could find a good church home, where Matt and I would both enjoy going. And we felt lead to. Right now, we're just kinda floating around.

I wanna get in shape. I know, I mean I KNOW, I'm not anywhere near as healthy as I should be.

Uhh, I need to make a game-plan and start checking stuff off. I am so overwhelmed.
Which is where the picture at the very top comes in... I need to breathe.

Oh, and I have a question for y'all! When you got married, or if you were to get married did you/would you have a wedding coordinator? Why or Why not? If you did, did it save you money? Take stress away? And where would I go about getting myself one of those?

My Saturday Night.

My Saturday night... started at work, and is continuing at home. On my blog, that and other addicting websites. (Pinterest, occasionally Facebook, my new Twitter, or other lovely blogs!)
But while I was on Pinterest I came across a pin, linking up to this...
website, where I then took these...
It's a photo booth! I fell in love!! How adorable, right?? Beware though, the pictures do take fast...

And sorry about the tons of links I just posted. There just there if you wanna check em out. No pressure... I am pretty cool though. Ha! I'm just kidding. (:

I've also been brewing on an idea for a post... It would almost be a novel after I got it all out. But it would cover my 2011. And the major thing that happened right at the beginning of this past year, that rocked mine and my family's world. I'm debating posting it tomorrow. Maybe I'll just start making Sunday's my deep post days. Throw in a little life story and mix it with a devotion? I dunno, I dunno. Support would be greatly appreciated!
Oh and on a side note, my best friend Liz, has been in the hospital all day. Her sister is diagnosed with diabetes, and now hers has spiked. They're running a buncha tests to figure out if she has it as well. But if y'all would just say a prayer for her, I'd appreciate it, and I'm sure she would as well. (:

On a different note, I hope everyone's enjoying their Saturday night!

Happy things.

This picture, although not originated by me, might as well be. This is perfect, with the exception of switching kitty snuggles to doggy snuggles. Everything on this seems soft and romantic, timeless. I adore those moments where you can get taken away. Feel like you're in a different time and place. It's comfortable there. When you keep up with life you rush through things, and if you're like me you hate change. I get comfortable and don't wanna change before I'm good and ready.
My wish for today, and everyday is to do some happy thing.
Today my happy things will be:
The refreshing rain
Snuggling with Ella Bear
Matt's Hugs
Cherry Lime Aid at work
Red Box movie?
Snuggling with Matthew

What are your happy things?

My first...

Tattoo!
I got it today, at a tattoo party! How random, right?
But look-

Exactly how I wanted it. My madre got one too. Only hers says mom. Mine says Mam.
I love it. I'm so excited too. It didn't really hurt, and it was only $20! I already want more!
Read the story behind it here.

Oh dear...

Who is that attractive man with straight teeth? Oh ya, that's my fiance!

Today was a big day, Matt got his braces off... finally! But look how cute he is! We had an awesome mini-road trip down to Versailles, Kentucky. If you ignore the speeding ticket... his not mine! Oh well, live and you learn. Versailles though, is one cute town! I was talking about moving down there the entire time. Told Matt I'm open up a little candy store, or soda shop right on the main strip. He could have his garage to work on cars. It'd be perfect! Unfortunately I'm not big on living far from home. I could... and I don't get homesick, but  I would just prefer not to be to far from family.
Then we hung out with an old friend, you could say, who I love dearly no matter how much we go through.Got to go hang out at the mall, go shopping. Look at this dress Matt spoiled me with:

There's a gold sequined ban in the middle. Oh my gosh I was speechless when I saw it! Love at first sight. (:
I also got another dress and a shirt. All in all he spent about $38 on me! Which I'm not gonna lie, is a lot for clothes. Even if I got 2 & 1/2 outfits.
Oh rack up another $5 on that total, cause he ordered that devotional I told you all about a few posts back! I can not wait to start that!

Last night my mom also picked up Just Dance 2. Which, um, I must say is the funnest thing on the planet. Cause funnest is clearly a word... But you know what I mean. Me and Matt were playing and he is such a goof ball. And then me and mom were battling it out tonight, also quite amusing!

But my entire day. The whole thing. Was laughing.
And boy do I love laughing.

breathing loveliness.

I have had a lot going on this week, but not really. I'm sure that doesn't quite make sense.

This past Tuesday I had my 2nd interview at Sonic, up by my house. I had to do a burger test, which is memorizing what all comes on their burgers. I passed, so I got another test to take home and study, it was a secret shopper survey to look over. I went back yesterday for that test, and I also passed that! So I call back Monday, to figure stuff out... I'm kinda confused on what that means, but I'm pretty sure that means I got the job. Either way as soon as I know I've got it, I get to go look at a Jeep Cherokee, and the wedding planning can commence! So excited!

Wednesday I got a little craft bug and made a coaster, which is what my soda is sitting on in the picture below. Also made a Valentine that I haven't written on yet... Plus me and Matt went 'shopping'. Not buying anything, just walking around looking. We went down a strip-mall, HHGreg (for him), Home Goods, Jacks Pets (So many cute animals!), raced passed a couple restaurants looking like we were 5 or drunk..., JoAnns (for me. Looking for cigar boxes, for bridesmaids boxes.), and Old Navy, where we bought Jones sodas. Not clothes or shoes, sodas. Oh and some Pop Rocks.

Blue Bubblegum. Yummy! And Bonus! Cute little picture.
See?

Yesterday, like I mentioned, I had the other Sonic test, then we went out to lunch at Jersey Mikes. I hadn't eaten there before but it was quite delicious. Matt wanted to stop by a car dealership after that, (we're both looking for cars) and I sat in the car. Dealerships make me nervous. I'm not entirely sure why but I'd rather just not be there at all. So in the car I sat.
It was so lovely out yesterday though, so mom dropped a couple of my siblings off, grabbed Eleanor, and went to the park till dark.
The park was a lot of fun. Jonah, my 4 year old brother, made some new friends there. A woman and her daughter were nice enough to let him play tag with them, It was adorable. And after everything me and Matt went to see Twilight: Breaking Dawn last night. Which he complained about. And loved! I called it. I called it perfectly. So I'm gonna have to show him the post from 5 days ago, and prove I was right. Just so he knows I'm always right. ;)

And today I'm gonna try and get some schoolwork done. So I'm not doing it last minute, again... Also so I can enjoy the Superbowl party we're going to Sunday! Ohh, I can't wait! I love the Superbowl! Commercials are the best. And the food... And the company...

Life is lovely.

To Sweet.

My pink roses. Delivered by Matt to school yesterday. (:
I was at co-op yesterday and about 11:35 I looked outside and saw that Matt was in the parking lot. I was expecting him to get me lunch. (Mom didn't pack me anything and I'm just not that productive in the morning. Especially with as little sleep as I got Sunday night/ Monday morning, but we won't talk about that...) So I get excused from my class and run out to get my Mickey D's and instead he hands me flowers. Beautiful pink roses. And then he hands me Reese's. And not just Reese's...

Crazy hair...

Reese's Eggs. <3 My most favorite Reese's of all. I just think they taste better. He brought me a whole bag of them. Then he handed me my Sweet Tea no ice, french fries and a hamburger.

Not so cute story: I'm spoiled, I like my tea with no ice cause cold hurts my teeth. And they overfill cups with ice now so you barely get any drink. I'm not wasting money for one drink and ice. I spilled half my fries. ): And it had been forever and ever that I had a hamburger from there and it wasn't as good as I remembered. I usually get chicken nuggets, but I heard a gross story of how those yummy little nuggets get produced. I'm just gonna steer clear of them... for ever.
Not trying to sound like a brat. Just a review of my McDonald's experience. And being honest about my day.

Moral of this post though...
Matt was so thoughtful and sweet. It made my whole day. (:

Dinner Date with my Momma.

This is me after the 'night on the town' with my mom. Snazzy right? I'm loving my red lipstick. Loving it! And that shirt? That's the one Matt bought me today. Did I mention I loved him? It's got sweet little birdies on it!

Our night out didn't go as planned, I forgot we had decided to go out on a Saturday night. Never a good idea. Everything was packed. Seriously, everything. We ended up walking around The Christmas Tree Shop for a half an hour before heading to the movie, and then got Chick-Fil-A afterwards.
The movie was amazing though. A little gross in some parts but definitely worth seeing. I'm gonna drag Matt to rewatch it. (: (He'll complain about it but I secretly thinks he likes Twilight, he's seen all the other movies.)

Missed church this morning, including seeing my best friend sing. ): How horrible is that? I'm not on my way to get the friend of the year award this year... I even tried to get our church's webcast to pull up and nothing. I'm sure she did wonderful though! God gave her a beautiful voice and even if I wasn't there to hear I know she blessed the entire congregation by sharing her gift.

Busy Days.

Hello friends!
I hope you're day is splendid! Mine's not to shabby. My love woke me up this morning. He sadly didn't get the truck he was looking at, but found a deal on a Jeep Grand Cherokee that I may be looking at within the next week. He made me get dressed and we were out the door. Wal-mart was a little too busy for our tastes so we went to Target instead. I found a shirt, that he generously bought me, a dress and bathing suit I'll probably be going back for. You can check it out here... After we headed to Radio Shack (Woo...), Subway, and Kroger. Pretty good day before sending him to work.

Now I need to hop in the shower. Me and mom are gonna have a night out! Her friend Suzy is awesome! And offered to watch the munchkins for us. I think we're going to Chilis and to see Breaking Dawn... Part 1. Yep, I'm slightly a Twilight nerd. No hating. (:

Still need to get these papers written. Lord help me.
Hoping your day is wonderful!

Red Lipstick kind of day.

Where I'm sitting is where I'm supposed to be writing my papers. Yes plural. If you saw my 1st Photo Challenge you would know I'm a procrastinator. It wasn't a lie. I had a large winter break. Like 2 months large. And I still have stuff to do. I don't like that I do it. But I do. Maybe I'll look up ways to stop... tomorrow... Just Kidding. Seriously though if you are anywhere near Northern Kentucky you would know it is U-G-L-Y outside.  I have my adorable puppy sitting on my lap sleeping, which automatically makes me wanna take a nap, Matt has school and work today. Meaning I won't see him till 11:!5 tonight. And I have nowhere to go, or any way of getting there. Not that I should try I have this schoolwork to do... Bleh.
At least my lips are bright and happy today!

Oh and before I forget, head over to Vintage Wannabees blog here!
If you have a blog Link up! I did! Also look around her blog, you won't be dissapointed!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

Hello, hello, hello!

Well I would have to say my new year is starting off fairly well. Wishing the same for everyone. And also that this year is blessed, and enjoyable through ALL of life's situations.
I have gotten to enjoy a couple nights out with Matt. We're coming up on 6 months, and its shocking, that its been this long, but also that it feels like so, so much longer. We really started hanging out at the beginning of August. And it took off from there. I'll have to get into our whole 'how we met and started dating' story later. But from at least August 18th, we've been inseparable. In this whole 6 months there may, at the very most, be a whole 7 days in which we have completely not seen each other. And that's just here and there. That's a lot of time. Truthfully though, I wouldn't give up a second of that time, I love every single moment of it. (Yes, even when we're disagreeing about something.)
But last Wednesday, the 11th, we went to church at Cornerstone Baptist for a wonderful time, and then went out to Barnes and Noble! I love books. Love. Matt... well not so much. He's stepped in a library only a handful of times, where I was there that much in one week growing up. I read, and I reread. But I got a gift card for Christmas, along with a Starbucks card! Where there's another gift card match so perfectly matched I  know not of. Nor am I willing to search, seeing as I am content with this pair. To get Matt in the bookstore though I had to bribe him with a Caramel Brulee Latte, even though once in there he was perfectly content looking through Nirvana books...
Horrible picture. ): I  know, and I'm sorry. He wasn't purposefully doing this either. I thought I took a different picture, my phone even made the noise, but it wasn't there. I realized this too late. He offered to go back and redo it, (Love him!!) but I was more intent on getting coffee.
I even found a book there, that I shall be getting shortly... called Night Light by Dr. James Dobson. Yes, I realize I told you I had a gift card to Barnes and Noble, but it's only for $25, and the book is $23.99! So sadly I would have $0 after one book. I was not going to do that to myself. So I went home and found it on Amazon, (in link) for around $3.00!! Much better, I think. It's just a devotional for couples, I loved it though, and Matt agreed to do any devotional I wanted. That makes for a happy Leah. Can't wait to get it in!

Ohhh, and I skipped ahead a little bit, cause last Sunday, the 8th, me and Elizabeth went to Trader's World. Which is a huge, mostly indoor, flea market in Ohio.
Don't ask me what I'm doing here...  But see! Shorts in January!
And I found the most vintage-y, beautiful, amazing cabinet for mine and Matt's future apartment.

I LOVE this thing. And the old guy selling it to be was a doll. I adored him, I walked up to it and he walked up and said to me its $40 but I'll give it to you for $30. He even agreed to saving it for me till I could get Matt up there with a truck. He showed me right where he was keeping it, said I might not be here if it's snowing, I'll be on vacation if that happens. But you just come right back here and get it. And now its mine! I'm in love! I think I know right where she's going too. (:

Matt was off yesterday, and like I mentioned in my last blog, (which was over a week ago... /: Sorry bout that...) I was going to look at an animal shelter for a puppy. And we did, at the Kenton County Animal Shelter. I just happened to find the sweetest doggy there.
Her name is Flopsy! She's a 4 year old Shih Tzu!
And oh my goodness friends, she is absolutely the cutest, sweetest dog I have ever met. I don't have her with me, and that means she's not officially mine. But we have to make sure the cats we have are up to date on their rabies shots. Which is what we're doing tomorrow. Then on Tuesday morning, me and Matt are getting up there right at 10:30 when they open to guarantee she's mine. Show them the rabies shots papers and sign the papers. Sadly even after that I'll have to go back Wednesday to bring her home for good, she has to get spayed. ): poor dog. It'll be worth the wait though. I literally looked all through the kennel and she was one of the last I looked at, but she caught my eye so I went back to her. When I walked up she walked right up to me, so I bent down, and stuck my hand in the fence and began to pet her. She just looked right up at me, pushed her head into my hand and sat there. I looked at my mom and Matt, and said, 'This is her. This is my dog. I want this one.' She just stuck out to me. And to tell you the truth almost none of the other dogs would let me pet them! I was like Uh! Do I smell bad to them?? Usually animals are all over me, I love them they love me... (Cue Barney theme song...) but no! So I think that made it even better that she just let me pet her and pet her.
When we were going over adoption stuff I got to hold her in my lap, and she'd just look around and occasionally shed just look up at me, and hold my stare, and then lay her head down. It was meant to be. (: Except I was so heart broken when the lady there took her from me so we could leave. So, so heartbroken. But I'll make it up to her by buying her a bunch of treats on Wednesday!

Oh and plus yesterday was fantastic after that too. Me and Matt went and got my counter, went to an out-door mall. Which we did not stay at long. Talk about freezing! And I even had pants on! We rode back got a couple coffees, checked in at my house, and went down to his for some family time. We watched Just Go With It, such a cute movie, and happened to get snowed in. So his adorable face was what woke me up this morning. (As I was getting crawled across so he could watch tv...)

So after 1 1/2 hours of blogging I think I'm ready to hit the sack, I might post another something here real fast though. I dunno...
Goodnight. (:

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

It's nearly 2 pm on Christmas Day, and I am practically done. My grandma is the only one I have not seen yet today. But she'll be by later.
I made out, as my Tappaw would say, like a bandit. (: In other words I had a stinkin good Christmas! This year, by far was better than the last 2 years. Which I'm very happy for. Matt knew that the past couple years have been hard for me and told me this would be my best December. He may have been right. I was absolutely spoiled by Matt's family! I only felt bad I wasn't able to buy them all something back! Next year...
These boots are from Mamaw and Poppie, Matts Grandparents. (: I LOVE them, they've welcomed me in as their own grandkid after 5 months and it's wonderful. I love these boots too, super duper comfy. I'm sitting on my couch and still have them on.
The picture way above is of me and Matt, last night after the family opened all the presents. I'm a very cheap person and as a kid I hardly ever got name brand clothes. It was like Wal-mart, Kohls, odd hand-me downs.... This year I got spoiled. Matts mom, Valerie, her boyfriend Jon, and his little brother, (whom I adore!), Jordan got me the sweat pants and sweatshirts from Aeropostale you see. Underneath I have a pretty purple Aero shirt and polka dot socks from his Uncle Allen.
Along with 8 other pairs... Socks, useful, and wonderful.
I am genuinely blessed. With gifts today, with my fiance, with my fiances amazing family! And that doesn't even begin to go into what I got today. A pair of moccasins, I like my shoes, not as much as some girls, but ya, I like em. Well fairly all the shoes I own have holes in them. So mom and Mamaw got me new shoes! Yay! I also have a couple gift cards I can't wait to use. I got a waffle maker, last night Matt got a blender, today I got a laptop, and today Matt also got a 37 inch tv. Now we just need to get our Apartment renovated and get married. But I'll worry about that a different day... (:

Ohhhhh. And not to mention a gift I got the other day...
This hat came from my best friend Elizabeth! Love her! Love this hat! Its sooo super soft. And warm! Check out her blog here...

So, so overwhelmed, happy, blessed. I sincerly hope everyone else is having just as good of a day.
What did you get this year? Anything you ddn't get that was on your wishlist?
